Hunter Higher Education Research
seeks to accomplish this by:

  • conducting and disseminating basic, applied, and action science education research focused on issues of student learning and innovation in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) education;
  • using research grounded knowledge as a lever to improve science education at the post-secondary level;
  • furthering knowledge of organized change, management and leadership, and diversity and access in STEM education
  • advancing research in student assessment and encouraging faculty members use of appropriate assessment tools to improve teaching and learning
  • developing collaborative partnerships with faculty, their departments, and higher education organizations to promote the use of effective educational practices
